Washington state-based POSDATA, Inc. has merged with New
Jersey-based Control Solutions, Inc. The combined
company, called Control Solutions and headquartered in
Gig Harbor, Washington, brings additional products and
solutions to its customers. Control Solutions now
provides a nationwide organization for supply chain
automation and mobility solutions, as well as automatic
identification/point of sale equipment sales and
service.
The company has also merged its websites. Control Solutions new corporate web
address is now www.csi-posdata.com. Control Solutions operates its
electronic payment equipment and service division under the name POSDATA, and maintains information about these products and services at
www.posdata.com.

Facilities managers with
proprietary or closed control systems now have a new
tool to track machine maintenance data. Control
Solutions and Delta Technical Systems have jointly
developed a Machine Monitoring and Control (MM&C) unit
designed with Eaton Cutler-Hammer components. The MM&C
networks with production management systems to provide
real-time machine data collection and display.

Concrete contractor Tedesco Construction, Inc., with
employees working on many jobs in many locations, needed
a solution to manage timesheet data across their complex
organization. After evaluating 20 different time and
attendance solutions, the company chose
PowerTrack from Control Solutions. Since
implementing PowerTrack, Tedesco has reduced its data
entry errors to nearly zero and reduced data entry time
by 65 percent. The accounting department now enters new
employees into the accounting system more quickly, and
foremen complete timesheets daily.
Also, Tedesco now collects information that the
company previously was unable to track, such as weather,
mileage, equipment location and status. "We are a
growing company that needed a better way of collecting
man-hours," says Windie Ruprecht, Tedesco's payroll
administrator. "PowerTrack pays off because we spend far
less time on data entry and on fixing mistakes."
