With OpenAsset you can easily monitor and manage your physical asset inventory, equipment, computers, furniture, fixtures, or other fixed assets. By using bar code and RFID technology, you can:

OpenAsset tracking provides a capability to dynamically track or locate individual assets, and maintains complete historical maintenance and repair information. It enables you to determine where assets are used, to identify under-utilized assets that may be deployed elsewhere rather than purchase additional units, and to evaluate performance relative to repair costs. It even features a unique capability to define target inventory levels for spares and to automatically report variations.

New items can be scanned into inventory as they are received, and if an item does not contain a barcode asset identification number you can use e-Bar to create a barcode label for the asset. As items are placed into storage, their barcode labels and inventory locations are simply scanned. Inventory levels and pinpoint locations are automatically adjusted. It doesn’t get any easier or more accurate.

A Check-in/Check-out feature helps ensure accurate and timely recording of all asset deployments, as well as changes in status or condition. Mobile assets can be assigned a unique return due date and custodial identification that will automatically trigger notifications for “past due” asset returns. Physical inventories are just as easy. Simply scan the bar code label for each item’s present location and then scan the asset ID label on the item. OpenAsset does the rest, making it easier than ever to receive inventory, transfer items between inventory and use locations, manage inventory, and produce timely, and accurate reports in detail or summary formats.
