OpenInspect from Control Solutions is a scaleable, PC-based manufacturing facility support tool. The system allows you to collect and process real-time data on all direct/indirect inspection activities using the latest radio frequency and bar coding technologies.

Route schedules are downloaded to portable data terminals (PDTs). Using a bar code scanner, the field inspector easily, quickly and accurately records a wide variety of inspection information for processing and review. Items such as inspection activity and method of inspection are recorded.

OpenInspect provides real-time interface between field operations and corporate information processing using state-of-the-art Open Systems standards. Using Microsoft Windows NT, SQL Server and ODBC interfaces with the Control Solutions Transaction Interpreter, OpenInspect maintains a local real-time work-in-process database. This technology allows transactions from any mix of PC workstations, wired industrial terminals and hand-held industrial terminals to be seamlessly routed to this real-time database.
