OpenPM&C technology is developed in a modular Open architecture, using industry standard programming languages, communication and databases: By incorporating Control Solutions couplers and industry standard interfaces, we can use exclusive waste-weighing and technology to deliver the most accurate counts available from any system today. It’s the perfect system for high-speed, high-volume web press, where unmonitored runs can pile up waste in seconds. These industry standard interfaces/couplers allow the use of special sensors or allow for a direct connection to the machine control panel. OpenPM&C is a cost-effective solution for monitoring smaller web, sheet fed, and digital presses and finishing machines.

OpenPM&C uses industry standard communication server and networking (wired or wireless), so that the data from multiple open or closed legacy systems can be collected, consolidated, and displayed on central workstations for management. Using standard browser-based technology, the information is made available to any node on your network. Ethernet capabilities tie your OpenPM&C systems directly to your corporate network. And each OpenPM&C workstation can become an operator’s workstation that provides access to corporate email, your intranet, and other Windows applications.

OpenPM&C features a familiar Windows interface that lets operators focus on the task at hand, not on data collection. When integrated into a management system like CRC, OpenPM&C will allow operators to display run schedules, production logs, job tickets, and other important production-enabling software right on the count monitor.

OpenPM&C includes reports to provide meaningful information to your managers, who can use this information to add efficiencies to your processes. When the OpenPM&C network printer module is used, these reports, queries, skid tickets, inventory labels and pallet labels can be directed to any barcode/laser printer on your network. The ability to clearly identify the skids on which the product is stored is valuable information for production staff and management. OpenPM&C automatically produces a load ticket as each skid is completed, greatly improving efficiencies in workflow.
