Control Solutions, Inc. of Gig Harbor, Washington has expanded its automatic identification (Auto ID) technology business into the Boise, Idaho area. Andy Kyger, formerly vice president and co-owner of Boise's I-O Technologies, recently joined Control Solutions to manage Boise-area opportunities and to transition current I-O Technologies customers to the company. Kyger has 12 years of experience in Auto ID technology sales and support.

Richard E. Mahmarian, president and CEO of Control Solutions, says the expansion will increase coverage for Control Solution's growing customer base. "While we have always had a presence in the area, we are now better able to serve our mutual customers in the eastern Washington and Oregon, Idaho and Utah areas," Mahmarian says. "In addition, Andy will continue to manage the former I-O Technologies customer base, and will now be able to offer more support and service capabilities available through Control Solutions."

In addition to the new Boise, Idaho office, Control Solutions has offices in western Washington and Oregon, California, Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Auto ID is the automatic identification and tracking of materials and inventory by data collection devices such as bar code scanners. Auto ID technology includes bar code printers, bar code scanners, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers, mobile terminals and related data collection software. Control Solutions is a partner with leading Auto ID manufacturers, including Zebra Technologies, Motorola, Intermec, Datalogic and Handheld Products.

Control Solutions offers a wide variety of supply chain and mobile tracking solutions software. The company also provides consumables and service to its customers.
